Serving Others for 40 years

It is a true blessing to know that PHS and its dedicated teams have been improving the lives of thousands of people for the past 40 years. From the very beginning, a commitment to quality hearing care, exceptional service, and continuous improvement for both patients and team members has been the foundation of our practice.

In 1986, PHS was founded by audiologist Eve Hensler in the old hospital on Highway 81. At that time, she worked closely with local physicians and dispensed hearing aids that were not yet computerized adjusted instead with a small screwdriver. Hearing technology was limited, and custom hearing aids designed specifically for an individual’s ear were just beginning to emerge.

A few years later, Eve relocated PHS to the Medical Arts Building on Highway 81, where she continued providing excellent care while working closely with Dr. Rogotzke, ENT, whose office was just down the hall.

I first met Eve in 1995 while working as an outside sales representative for a hearing aid manufacturer, using my audiology degree in a different capacity. PHS was one of my accounts, and owning a private practice had always been a dream of mine. In 1998, Eve and I began discussions, and in 2000, I purchased PHS. Eve remained an integral part of the practice for another 12 years.

In 2006, PHS moved to its current location into a newly constructed building designed to expand our services and support advancing technology for our patients.

Over the last 40 years, hearing technology has evolved dramatically. Today, our hearing evaluations are conducted in soundproof booths, we verify hearing aid performance using Real Ear Verification, and modern hearing technology allows us to provide more precise, personalized, and satisfying outcomes than ever before.

As we celebrate 40 years of service, our commitment to quality hearing care and exceptional service remains as strong as it was on day one—and always will be.
